Marketing & Development Associate (Part-Time)

Webster Arts is looking for the rare person who:

  • has demonstrated PR, marketing, & communications skills
  • has excellent writing skills and is willing to assist with development tasks
  • has or is willing to learn web and social media skills
  • wants to learn arts management from a vital, growing arts organization
  • enjoys a variety of tasks in a 2-person office
  • works well with volunteers and arts patrons
  • wants to help a growing organization reach new challenges
  • is flexible
  • has a positive attitude to fit into a small non-profit office where the staff does every job, as needed, regardless of title
  • wants a part-time position, 20 hours per week
  • has an interest in/knowledge of art (considered a bonus)

Qualifications: BA in Marketing, Communications or related field; or comparable work experience in public relations and/or development

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Website management
  2. Social media management
  3. News release writing, placement with print/broadcast media & follow up
  4. Assist with development tasks as directed
  5. Assist with office tasks as required
  6. Assist data base management as required

Staffing at occasional morning/evening/weekend meetings and events is required.
