The Rome Group's annual Philanthropic Landscape presentation was held on July 23, 2009 at Washington University's Edison Theater. More than 400 nonprofit, corporate and foundation leaders attended.
Washington UNiversity's David Blasingame welcomed the audience. Presenters included The Rome Group's Amy Rome and Mary McMurtrey from the Gateway Center for Giving. A panel discussion on creative responses to the current economic climate featured Cynthia Crim, grants manager for the William Kemper Foundatin; Roderick Jones, CEO of Grace Hill Settlement House; Martin Leifeld, vice chancellor for advancement at University of Missouri-St. Louis; Greg Lukeman, executive director of Food Outreach; and Jill McGuire, executive director of the Regional Arts Commission. Jim O'Donnell from O'Donnell Communications moderated the discussion.
