The Rome Group’s annual summer gathering, Philanthropic Landscape 2019, took place on Thursday, July 18, 2019. at the Sheet Metal Workers Grand Hall. This year’s theme was Generational Changes: Shaping Your Strategies.
This popular event featured keynote speaker Melissa S. Brown, President of Melissa Brown & Associates, LLC. Melissa is a nationally known speaker, researcher and fundraising expert, who manages the Nonprofit Research Collaborative, a twice-annual survey to assess what works in fundraising. She is also a past editor of Giving USA. Her presentation slides are included below as Presentation Part-2.
Also at the event, The Rome Group shared findings from Giving USA and its own annual surveys about trends in philanthropy at the national and local levels (Presentation Part-1). A panel of local nonprofit experts also shared their perspective and took questions from the audience. The panel included:
