US Central and Southern Jesuits

The Director of Advancement Services plays an essential role in supporting the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province’s mission by ensuring a seamless donor experience from first gift to ongoing engagement, ensuring donors feel appreciated and connected. This position is responsible for managing gift processing, responding to donor inquiries with professionalism and care, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date constituent records. The Director of Advancement Services is based in St. Louis, Missouri.

Essential Functions:

Administer gift entry from multiple sources and channels.
Prepare and mail thank you letters and other acknowledgments to donors.
Help assemble and distribute Enrollments, Perpetual Enrollments and Greeting Cards, as well as monitor inventory of each.
Update addresses and contact information based on appeals and returned mail.
Administer matching gift opportunities.
Run Raiser’s Edge NXT constituent and data queries and reports, as requested.
Respond to constituent inquiries via phone and email. Coordinate responses, as needed, with Advancement staff.
Assists in monitoring the Province office switchboard and transfers calls to the appropriate office/person.
Help compile prayer requests received via online and phone messages and forwards to the St. Ignatius Hall Superior every week.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum five years of responsible administrative and constituent support experience, preferably in a nonprofit office or similar fundraising organization.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Robust computer skills and knowledge of constituent record management systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge RE NXT, Salesforce NPSP or Ellucian Advance).
