Summary: The Assistance Dog Client Manager supports and provides services for the assistance dog clients of Duo. The position requires understanding of multiple disabilities, interpersonal skills, and a level of organization that ensures client’s training and certifications are current. It requires some knowledge of canine behavior, evaluations, temperament and health. It requires an understanding of training methods specific to Duo and how those are introduced and implemented with clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CLIENT INTERACTIONS:
Provide accurate screening and follow through with applicants interested in Duo services
Provide clients with a support system with the highest level of response
Perform detailed evaluation of inquiries and resolutions to clients’ concerns
Fully document and resolve all interactions with clients
Provide follow up and transitional support to clients
Schedule annual client re-certification
RECORD KEEPING:
Order, maintain, and disburse client equipment as necessary
Keep up-to-date records on all clients
Provide reports to Director of Operations as requested
GENERAL:
Attend special events and education programs as funds allow
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, related field or equivalent experience required. Proficient with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and business forms. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus. Knowledge of different disabilities and capabilities of assistance dogs. Experience managing programs and/or overseeing program delivery.
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds.
WORK HOURS: This is a full time exempt position. The work schedule may include some evenings and weekends.
Unique Skills or Abilities: Knowledge of Assistance Dogs International standards for assistance dog programs and standards. Ability to instruct individuals with a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. Ability to learn and manage a variety of administrative processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team as situations dictate. I addition, the individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
Special Personality Traits: Friendly, calm, patient, and professional demeanor. Able to work with staff and volunteers diplomatically, while showing a high degree of professionalism. Honest, flexible, and hard working. Willingness to accept and adapt to change, reorder priorities, manage several projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in a positive, effective manner.
