Responsible for fundraising and alumni relations to advance the highly-ranked Brown School. The Associate Director of Development will further enhance the School’s ability to educate and prepare future social work, public health, and social policy leaders in areas of policy, practice, and research.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects; develop innovative strategies for personally cultivating and soliciting new prospects as well as existing donors. Focus on Eliot Society gifts and above.
- Conduct a minimum of 90 face-to-face visits with Brown School constituents with the goal of 50% solicitation visits.
- Manage the Brown School’s Scholarship Program. Work with the Admissions and Financial Aid offices on the assignment of named scholarships and notification of students. Coordinate donor stewardship activities, as well as the details for the annual scholarship luncheon.
- Plan and implement high profile development cultivation events, including annual scholarship luncheon, Distinguished Alumni Awards celebration, and other events for alumni and friends of the Brown School.
- Manage the Brown School’s stewardship activities, including gift acknowledgements, endowed fund reports, and other projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree required. At least three year’s experience in development or a closely related field. Strong writing skills. Availability for some travel required. Occasional evening and weekend hours.
