Job Title: Communications and Marketing Manager
Department: Administration
Status: Part-Time
Reports To: Director of Operations
Salary: $15-$20 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary:
Diversity Awareness Partnership seeks a motivated Communications and Marketing Manager with strong verbal, written, and copy-editing skills. The position coordinates across departments (programs, training, and operations) for their communications and marketing needs. The position works closely with the graphic designer to ensure brand messaging is consistent.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage all aspects of DAP’s internal and external communications and marketing, advancing the organization’s mission and increasing engagement with key stakeholders
• Build awareness and gain new supporters for DAP’s mission, programs, and initiatives with compelling storytelling
• Develop and execute strategies for annual giving days such as Give STL Day, as well as other fundraising campaigns
• Develop social media plans and schedules, in conjunction with direct mailings
• Write copy and post daily to social media (IG, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Provide copywriting and proofreading support for the DAP Team as needed; proof materials before going to print or digital publication
• Support documentation of DAP events and programming via taking photos
• Create DAP’s Annual Report in collaboration with Graphic Designer
• Responsible for all content changes to website, including banners, new page creation and other new features that improve user experience
• Lead all strategies to measure and increase traffic to website
• Create the DAP Inclusive Monthly Newsletter, including identifying themes and relevant content
• Maintain DAP’s mailing lists and create eblast campaigns in Mailchimp
• Maintain DAP’s Job Board and Resources page
• Manage agency branding standards and ensure messages and materials are consistent
• Manage the design, production, and completion of collateral such as programs for events, flyers, brochures, and direct mail pieces

General Organization Responsibilities:
• Attend all of DAP’s major fundraising and community outreach events
• Provide own transportation to all programs
• Perform other job-related activities as assigned to support DAP brand and growth

Qualifications / Requirements:
• High school diploma or higher
• Ability to think strategically about communications objectives and how to meet those objectives
• Self-starter with the ability to establish and execute priorities with minimum direction or instructions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Highly organized, thorough, and detail-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail
• Adaptable working style for changing needs; flexibility and creativity in a fast-moving work environment; demonstrated success in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities and competing deadlines
• Comprehensive understanding of diversity issues related to race, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Zoom, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter), and Linktree
• 3+ years in a role with communications-centered responsibilities
