Position Title: St. Louis Builds Credit Coordinator

St. Louis Builds Credit (STLBC), led by Prosperity Connection, is a citywide credit building initiative that seeks to use credit building as a lever to open doors for St. Louisans to achieve a prime credit score (660+), build wealth, and promote financial health. Credit building is a critical tool for tackling income inequality and decreasing the racial wealth gap. STLBC brings together a network of community partners from the financial services industry and the nonprofit sector to provide St. Louisans with increased access to the tools they need to build a prime credit score through credit fairs, free credit building workshops, one-on-one financial coaching, and safe credit building products. All services offered through STLBC are free to utilize for anyone who lives or works in the St. Louis region.
The STLBC Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing credit fair events in partnership with various organizations. Credit fairs are opportunities where participants can have their credit report pulled on-site and attend a 20-minute review of their credit report with a Financial Coach or trained volunteer to receive personalized recommendations for how they can build their credit.
This role may require working outside of the traditional work week (early mornings, late evenings and weekends). The employee will also exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

5. Represent the STLBC initiative throughout St. Louis at special events, collaborative meetings, and other opportunities key to the success of the program
6. Understands and complies with all state and federal regulations and laws. Ensure compliance with all governing regulations especially the Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Bank Secrecy Act knowledge will be determined by the employee’s position and responsibility.
Candidates with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree are desired, as well as 1+ years applicable experience.
The candidate must be extremely professional in behavior and appearance, show initiative, willing to work a flexible schedule, and can work independently or in a team environment. In addition, the individual must also be extremely detail-oriented, possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, work well under deadline pressure, and be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
The candidate will possess superior grammar and proofreading skills, exceptional attention to detail, and must be able to master the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in Salesforce is a plus.

The physical requirements of this job include the ability to stand/sit, walk, reach above shoulder level, data entry, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and carry/lift up to 35 pounds. The employee must have valid driver’s license and have his or her own personal transportation.
Salary Range: $35,000 – $41,000
