Disabled Athlete Sports Association

Director of Operations

Disabled Athlete Sports Association

What we’re looking for:

An exceptional operations leader with a drive for completion. This leader will oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organization. Effective communication, results, teamwork, and delighted clients make this candidate tick.

Is that you?

You believe in effective communication, following procedures, and planning. You are client focused and have the ability to work with diverse groups, adapt to the needs of the team and organization, make sound decisions on the fly, and stop to enjoy the simple things. You expertly manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. More importantly, you love supporting causes that are bigger than you and are touted as having a heart for those with physical disabilities. You demonstrate excellent people and operational leadership, project management, and process improvement skills.

What makes DASA a great place to work?

At DASA, we create opportunities for everyone who lives with physical disability to participate in adaptive sports, recreational programs, and fitness activities designated to improve self-esteem, strength, independence, and well-being while instilling family values. Not only are our clients a part of our family, but so are their families. It goes without saying that our team members and their families are our family too.

We lead by example and ensure that our team members experience a healthy work environment that fuels their desire to do this challenging yet satisfying work. Our team members realize that the work we do helps to put a smile on the faces of so many others.

Can you do this?

You will be an excellent candidate for this role because of your Bachelor’s degree, proven leadership experience as a Director or Manager of Ops, and proficient financial acumen. Our Director of Operations will also be a safe driver with a valid license and reliable transportation to ensure attendance at DASA events.

Within your work week, as a successful operations director, you will:

  • Work in-office (required) and nights and weekends as your schedule requires
  • Meet with team members to ensure all projects are on task and that clients are receiving high quality experiences
  • Conduct team meetings to ensure open communication and team support
  • Manage the budget and monitor cash flow
  • Represent DASA publicly with the goal of increasing financial and volunteer support
  • Monitor the effective, compliant, and efficient execution of all DASA operations
