GameChanger Athletes

Responsible to:

Executive Director

Main Description of Job: 

As a part of the leadership team, the Director of Development, will put together a plan to achieve yearly fundraising goals through grant proposals, community sponsors and individual donors so that GameChanger Athletes can impact athlete, coaches and parents throughout the St. Louis area. This individual has a fundraising background along with a sports/team background and is passionate about making an impact on youth sports.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

– Identify and explore local community organizations and business around partnered school districts for sponsorships
– Research and apply for grants that line up with what GameChanger Athletes is all about
– Utilize previous donor relationships to explore new contacts and to donate again
– Develop a relationship with all Board Members and work closely with them for connections around St. Louis
– Explore new ways to enhance fundraising efforts
– Plan and manage marketing efforts like direct mail and email campaigns with current and new contacts
– Research and explore donor pools and personally handle donor relationships
– Plan fundraising events with Executive Director
– Weekly meetings with Executive Director

Other Duties and Responsibilities: 

To work along side the Executive Director through social media, webinars and practices with each partnered high school.

Professional qualifications, experience and knowledge:

– Bachelors degree in business, communications, public relations or similar
– 5-10 years experience
– Proven ability to write and communicate well
– Proven fundraising track record
– Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Internet, Social Media

– Ability to organize and multi-task concurrent projects
– Highly detailed and task oriented, and able to complete tasks with little oversight
– Easy to get along with and great at communication
– Passionate
– Self-starter

Compensation and Benefits: 

– Full Time position $40,000-$45,000 (depending on experience)
– Commission
– Health Insurance Reimbursement up to $300/month
– Two weeks paid vacation
