Wildlife Rescue Center

Fundraising Stewardship and Cultivation Activities (60%)

·         Collaborate with the Executive Director on the annual development calendar and planning  campaigns

·         Process donations, generate and track tax-receipts and acknowledgement letters

·         Arrange and manage campaign logistics for individual solicitations such as seasonal appeals, GiveSTLDay, Giving Tuesday, etc.

·         Ensure year-round engagement and stewardship of individual donors

·         Manage and grow ongoing giving campaigns including monthly giving, planned giving, Chances for Critters, and Wild Walkway

·         Assume a lead role in planning and executing fundraising and outreach events including Spring Tails, Open House, Tails of the Night, and 3rd party events

·         Oversee donor and volunteer stewardship, appreciation, and cultivation activities

·         Capitalize on arising fundraising opportunities

Operations, Infrastructure, and Other Roles (20%)

·         Manage data entry for donor database (DonorPerfect) and email distribution list (Constant Contact)

·         Coordinate and contribute online content website and social media

·         Collaborate with appropriate staff, volunteers, and board members as needed

·         Help ensure efficiency of operations and other duties as assigned

Corporate and Foundation Relations (20%)

·         Conduct grant and sponsorship research

·         Assist with grant applications and administration

·         Fulfill sponsorship recognition and benefits, including communications such as social media and press releases, collateral like signage, website updates, and sponsor reports, etc.

Essential Qualities and Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher

·         3+ years prior experience in nonprofit development preferred

·         Mission and values driven with a strong commitment to environmental awareness and wildlife rehabilitation

·         Demonstrated experience and comfort in fundraising, soliciting for donations, and planning events

·         Good sense of accountability, strong dependability, and impeccable integrity

·         Detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing time-sensitive and competing workloads

·         A quintessential team player with a willingness to support colleagues

·         Capable communicator with an astute eye for written and visual communication

·         Comfortable working with a diverse base of support and stakeholders, including general public, community leaders, volunteers, donors, other nonprofit organizations, and corporate partners

·         Computer proficiency including

o   Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint

o   DonorPerfect or other donor databases

o   Social media platforms and management software, such as Facebook, Instagram, Wix, etc.

·         Flexible schedule with the ability and willingness to work occasional nights or weekends as necessary

·         Ability to pass a background check,  provide own transportation, insurance, and valid driver’s license

Wildlife Rescue Center offers:
