Endangered Wolf Center (AZA Member)

Location: Eureka, Missouri, United States

Status: Full-Time, 40 hours per week with benefits

Salary Range: $23,000-$26,000

Job Summary:

The Guest Relations Assistant will be functioning in a fast-paced environment, communicating between departments while serving guests and members. This position is very detail oriented involving many repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting guests and members of the Center by answering phones, booking reservations, resolving guest issues, greeting guests and members upon arrival, and other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time, 40 hour-per-week position, which requires weekends and participation in organizational events. This position requires a flexible, service-oriented professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the “Voice of the Center” to people who call and email.  Provide excellent customer service when answering the phones and communicating with guests.
  • Perform day-to-day office duties of the Center, including taking reservations, data entry, tracking and recording revenue, taking messages, answering questions, providing information and guidance to guests, members, volunteers, interns, and more.
  • Communicating between departments and other staff/volunteers of the Center
  • Booking on-site and off-site programming
  • Selling gift certificates, new memberships, and other special packages as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible with tasks
  • Willingness to master our online reservation system
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and databases
  • Flexible schedule
  • Willingness to participate in our Docent training course if not already completed
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public speaking and communication skills
  • Sales experience
  • Database knowledge

Education

  • High school diploma, vocational school degree, and/or college degree with an emphasis in English and math skills beneficial
  • Experience and/or knowledge of philanthropy
  • Minimum 2 years in Guest Relations, Customer Service, Sales, Development, or Membership Services
