The Field Training Specialist will provide enhanced and robust training for front-line supervisors to make certain direct support staff are well-trained and well-supported to provide the best quality services to the persons served. This position will assess effectiveness of supervisor training by evaluating support staff performance; and retrain supervisors as needed. Increase the knowledge of front-line supervisors and direct support staff. Coordinate training, competency testing and provide hands-on support in the field to ensure success through multi-modality training.

This position will ensure supervisors provide quality supervision and training to direct support staff by providing hands-on support and coaching to front-line supervisors. Oversee the development and implementation of a mentoring program for all Community Living staff. Provide training on how to produce quality client focused services and documentation. Assess instructional effectiveness and stay up to date on new training methods. Perform as a backup to the Training and Development Coordinator. Obtain training certifications as needed. Perform other duties as assigned

This is a Full-Time 40 Hour position. Location may vary depending on needs in the field (St. Charles County).

Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience

Position Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

·        Experience in training/teaching

·        Possess good organization and written documentation skills

·        Possess excellent spoken and written communication skills

·        Possess good listening and comprehension skills along with strong leadership and decision-making skills

·        Ability to work as a team member

·        Possess excellent computer skills
