Saint Louis County Department of Public Health (DPH)

The Workforce Equity Manager will coordinate/lead organizational efforts in reviewing, promoting, and integrating equity centered principles, policies and practices within DPH.  The position will coordinate across Divisions to manage key equity initiatives, related to workplace and workforce investment, building efforts with leadership to infuse best practices across the agency.  In addition, this role will ensure efforts are aligned with PHAB accreditation and Strategic Plan priorities. This is a supervisory position.

Examples of duties:

  • Provide leadership and coordination of DPH Workforce Development Plan and DPH Workforce Investment Strategic Priority. Advise leadership on matters related to workforce equity and building a diversified workforce.
  • Provide oversight and implementation of equitable practices as it related to DPH’s professional development, training, and other areas as needed.
  • Advise and provide guidance on standardization of best practices that advance equitable hiring and workforce development investment.
  • Establish and maintain effective and consistent communication on the workforce equity strategic direction, including actively seeking input from employees.
  • Seek out, advise, and support workforce equity efforts at the division level.
  • Lead advancement and monitor progress of workforce equity goals, as well as workforce investment efforts.
  • Coordinate anti-bias/anti-racism staff trainings, equity related assessments, and other relevant training opportunities.
