About Archway Institute:

Established in 2013, Archway Institute has established relationships and is actively growing in 7 States with a 2019 Operating  budget of a quarter of a million dollars, most of our funding comes from private donors.   Archway released $50,000 dollars last year in grants and scholarships assisting individuals suffering from addiction disorders.

Archway Institute is looking for the right individual to help take our agency to the next level in growth and achieving our mission.

Overview of Responsibilities and Duties:

The chief operating officer position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Archway Institute has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company. The job is 60% Program Management and 40% Administrative.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. Bottom line: Build a beautiful company.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve fiscal strength, business goals and objectives.
  • Program Management & Fundraising (including grant research, writing, management, and reporting; special events planning; and developing an individual giving program)
  • Annual budget development and fiscal management
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
  • Human resource management and policy development
  • Overseeing evaluation design and hiring evaluation consultants
  • Representing ARCHway in meetings and at public events
  • Defining job expectations for staff positions, delineating tasks, and conducting regular employee evaluations
  • Hiring, supervising, evaluating, and — if necessary — firing personnel, including consultants and salaried employees
  • Working with program directors, supervising production of all budgeted and approved programs
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the management team and Board of Directors to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  • Assist, as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the Company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Represent the firm with clients, investors, and business partners.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is part-time, however does require flexibility by the candidate.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  2. At least eight years of strong operational experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Master’s degree in business or related field.
  2. At least five years in a senior management role.

  1. Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, and legal.
  2. Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.

  4. Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
  5. Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
