Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis
Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis, a grant-making foundation with approximately $100 million in endowment funds, seeks applicants to serve as its President/CEO. This person works with a 15-member Board of Directors to carry out the goals of the Foundation, manages the strategic plan and its implementation, which includes a cooperative outreach ministry on behalf of 82 member congregations. This position supervises six staff members plus outside consultants; monitors and reviews money managers/custody services and fees; and oversees the Foundation operating budget.
This person is the Foundation’s primary representative to member churches, nonprofits, and the public, entailing significant collaboration and communication with grant makers and grant seekers in the St. Louis region and public articulation of the Foundation’s mission and purpose.
Applicants must be a member of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation with a bachelor’s degree and seven years of management experience; an understanding of budgeting, finances, and investments; past involvement with non-profit agencies similar to the type supported by the Foundation and outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
