Associate Director of Development
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Development will work with the Development Director to develop and carry out an overall fundraising strategy to increase income from individual donors, corporations, and on-going relationship building with all private supporters. This person will drive and manage fundraising events in collaboration with volunteer event committees. This position is expected to cultivate donors and solicit major gifts. This position is full-time with benefits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Manage all aspects of three annual fundraisers and two annual campaigns.
· Works closely in support of, and coordination with, Director of Development and Executive Director.
· Coordinates and manages quarterly cultivation and stewardship events.
· Primary responsible for managing day to day activities in the donor database
· Ability to create social media content, PowerPoint presentations, newsletter articles as well as some graphic design materials for internal and external promotions and events
· Provides organization and maintenance of annual campaign materials and data and leads coordination of all special event committees, volunteer recruitment and volunteer database.
· Develop and foster relationships with donor prospects and corporate partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3-5 years of fundraising, Non-profit and/or development experience highly preferred.
· College degree required, ideally a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fund Development, Non-profit management, Communications or related field.
· Experience in donor cultivation, securing corporate and individual gifts as well as leading successful fundraising events
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills, particularly the ability to read, analyze, write, and edit annual fund materials, reports, press releases and correspond with external groups, community members, and media.
Benefits and working conditions:
This is a full-time, salaried position with health, dental and vision benefits ($46,000 to $58,000annually based on experience). Ability to work independently both on and off site with occasional evenings and weekends required. Lift For Life Gym is a non profit 501c3 charity located in downtown St. Louis.
