The Position  

The Family House Development Coordinator provides support to the Mid-America Transplant (MT) Foundation Family House residents by fostering engagement and providing assistance on-site. This position will develop and execute annual planning for community involvement, sponsorship campaigns, and events to ensure the success of the Family House and maximize the support to residents.

What You’ll Do  

Family House (FH) Support 

  • Support FH residents through coordination of community building events on a regular cadence based on resident needs. (Pizza nights, Donate Life Month events, Cookouts, Game nights, Care Giver Support, Letter Writing to Donor events, etc.)
  • Provide volunteer opportunities to support FH and Mid-America Transplant programs and events in collaboration with the Community Engagement Coordinator, Volunteers.
  • Rotate 24/7 on-call coverage, including alternating weekend on-call for urgent resident needs including on-site response.
  • Collaborate with FH Coordinator for resident orientation, admissions, discharges, processing rent invoices/payments, apartment inventory/orders/stocking, property, and facilities improvements and/or maintenance needs.

Communications and Stakeholder Development 

  • Develop and implement a communication plan to engage key community stakeholders around the MVV provided by the FH to the community and region.
  • Coordinates with the MT Executive Leadership Team and Foundation Executive Director, to identify annual events designed to raise the profile of the FH in the region to secure ongoing financial support.
  • Highlight the mission of FH by publicly and internally sharing events, interviews, and photos featuring the efforts to continue to serve the community.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Communications department on resources to promote FH and events.
  • Tracks third-party support to MT Foundation Family House through partnership with the finance department.
  • Reports fundraising results to leadership and tracks expenses per organizational policy.

Event Management 

  • Actively manage all aspects of on-site sponsorship events to ensure success.
  • Drive completion of event satisfaction surveys, analyzes, and identifies improvements for future events.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and venues

What You’ll Bring 

  • Associate’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations or related fields or significant work experience in nonprofit fundraising, event planning and communications
  • 3+ years working in Nonprofit Fundraising preferred
  • 1 year experience in Marketing or Event Planning required
  • Must be willing to participate in evening or weekend events
