This position creates and designs comprehensive and integrated approaches for managing Career Readiness Economic Empowerment & Development (CREED) Programs;  plans and organizes efforts that support workforce and economic growth; develops relationships with a broad range of community agencies, secondary educational institutions, financial institutions, and employers; provides person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent supervision, demonstrates patience with clients, while being aware of culturally appropriate behavior and its effects on the responses of clients,  and must be flexible according to the needs of the YWCA client base; supervises the CREED direct services team including, Economic Empowerment Coach, Employment Specialist, Training Specialist, & Case Managers.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Establish goals and strategic workforce development goals and plans, partner directly with educational institutions and businesses.
  • Supervises all CREED program staff; prioritizes, coordinates and assigns work; conducts performance evaluations; ensures staff are trained and perform work in accordance with YWCA policy.
  • Oversees and implements all aspects of services involving client’s needs, including coaching, education, employment, economic empowerment, and supportive services; evaluates program effectiveness and efficiency; manages grant outcomes.
  • Maintain and build relationships with secondary educational institutions, financial institutions, businesses, community organizations, and workforce development partners to ensure quality and relevance to services.
  • Establish and coordinate internal and external financial workshops and seminars.
  • Community liaison for all external collaborations and partnerships regarding workforce development.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Four to five years related experience and/or training/or a bachelor’s degree from a college or university; or equivalent combination and experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of the issues relating to low-income families, women, and/children.
  • Grant management, outcome and evaluation management.
  • Group and individual facilitation, case file documentation and auditing
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, non-profit schools, and local workforce landscape; basic understanding of budget management.
