Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition
Summary of Position
The Coalition is hiring a Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to accurately capture and report our efforts to stakeholders including donors, volunteers, families, child welfare agencies and state entities. As a member of the development team, this position will assist with general fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Graphic Design Coordinator, programmatic staff, Executive Director, and Chief Impact Officer to successfully develop and create relevant and culturally sensitive marketing materials.
The Coalition is hiring a Digital Marketing and Communications Manager with relevant experience in these core competencies and will determine salary range, responsibilities, and title dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
• Creates and executes digital marketing strategies for the Coalition’s digital newsletters, e-blasts, website and across all social media platforms.
• Partners with programmatic staff to capture, update and authentically describe all programs and services.
• Partners with program staff to ensure that all programmatic marketing and recruitment materials remain up to date through (at a minimum) monthly update meetings.
• Works with programmatic staff to identify and capture profound impact stories to be included in grant proposals, and organization updates as well as accurate descriptions of all programs.
• Coordinates community calendar with programmatic staff to capture the Coalition’s impact in the community in real time. Note: community events happen Monday – Sunday. Flex time is available to offset events outside of core hours.
• Prepares culturally sensitive copy for all stakeholders.
• Maintains brand standards when creating content for social media platforms and websites.
• Regularly updates the Coalition’s website to reflect current events, programs and staff.
• Ensures newsletters, annual reports, and financial reports are updated, and warehoused on website.
• Maintains all Council of Accreditation (COA), Better Business Bureau (BBB), Charity Navigator website recommendations.
• Assists the grant writer by proofing draft versions of proposals.
• Records, edits and uploads trainings to YouTube and other social media platforms to support increased reach and community impact.
• Assists the Events and Community Impact Manager with donor portal set up and management.
• Creates and compiles copy and supporting photos/graphics for the Coalition’s print and digital newsletters, e-blasts, website, social media platforms and,
• Creates all materials and collateral associated with the Coalition’s fundraising events.
Department Specific / Non-Essential Functions
• Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
• Supports the Coalition’s mission – attends special events, training events, and other “all hands-on deck” activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related professional experience with at least two years of experience in a nonprofit setting required.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate across all organization departments
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with WordPress or similar website content management system
• Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing service
• Experience creating content for social media
• Knowledge of search engine optimization and analytics

Organizational Relationships/Scope
• This position is a member of the Development Team and reports to the Chief Impact Officer. Collaborative consultation will be sought from all teams.
Working Conditions
• This in-office position entails work in the office as well as in the community.
• The physical requirements of this job include sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs., pulling and/or pushing on occasion.
• Use of automobiles for local travel to multiple sites will be required.
• The Coalition office is considered home-base with primary office hours Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM CST.
• This position requires flexibility. Evening and weekend hours may be required to meet the expectations of this position.
