The St. Louis Home Repair Network

The Home Repair Network (HRN) is a collective of organizations committed to building a more accessible home repair and modification delivery system for those in need in the St. Louis region. HRN’s vision is to build capacity to achieve a well-maintained, safe, environmentally conscious, and healthy housing stock in St. Louis that supports residents’ ability to age in place and build generational wealth, particularly for individuals most impacted by systemic inequities.

HRN is seeking an entrepreneurial, collaborative leader who is excited to work across sectors to create an improved home repair ecosystem in St. Louis. The HRN Director will be responsible for supporting a network of home repair providers and advocates to build a coordinated approach to home repairs that will improve housing equity. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to build a team including staff, volunteers, and network members. The position is currently funded by grant funds for up to three years and will be housed at the Integrated Health Network (IHN), our community partner and fiscal sponsor. At the end of this period, we expect the HRN to be self-sustaining through a combination of grants, contracts, and member fees.

Responsibilities: In addition to working with HRN members and the HRN Advisory Council to implement recommendations included in the Policy Brief, the HRN Director will have the following responsibilities:

● Strategic Planning and Advisory Council Collaboration: Collaborate with HRN members and the HRN Advisory Council to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the HRN’s Theory of Change, mission, and vision.

● Fundraising and Financial Management: In collaboration with HRN members and the Advisory Council set goals for increased investment from public, private, and nonprofit institutions to expand and improve the home repair system in St. Louis. Determine what resources are necessary to attain these goals. Implement effective budgetary controls and monitor financial performance.

● Network Support: Develop initiatives to build the infrastructure of the home repair ecosystem of St. Louis so that home repair providers can meet the needs of all St. Louis residents.

● Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy: Identify and involve individuals and organizations that recognize the need for home repair in order to advance home repair and modification assistance and equitable access to resources.
