Learning Coordinator

Description (for internal use):

The NSC Learning Coordinator reports to the Director of Programs and Communications. The Learning Coordinator is responsible for the workshops, roundtables, scholarship program and tracking service inquiries. The Learning Coordinator maintains all software associated with the scholarship program and learning opportunities.

Description (for hiring/ad purposes):

Our organization is currently seeking a Learning Coordinator to administer our St. Louis, MO programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our learning opportunities and scholarship program. This position involves coordinating workshops, maintaining data, building relationships, and tracking programs/potential clients.

Duties

·         Plan learning calendar and sessions

o   Coordinate trainings

o   Manages relationships with speakers

o   Manages registration software/database

o   Prepares for trainings

o   Program marketing – includes email blasts and paper documents

·         Manage Capacity Building Scholarship program by

o   Facilitating application process

o   Tracking candidates

o   Initiating follow up and program documentation

o   Maintaining program files

o   Coordinating marketing initiative

o   Maintaining relationships with scholarship participants – includes weekly newsletter

o   Scheduling consultative sessions with NSC staff members

o   Program check ins and additional support when required

·         Communication and Community Engagement

o   Answering phone and emails from potential clients and collaborators

o   Promoting upcoming events and NSC mission

o   Collaborating within a small team to develop and adapt to educational needs in the nonprofit sector

·         Other: Tasks as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

·         3 – 5 years applicable experience; College degree preferred but not required

·         Nonprofit experience preferred

·         Exceptional computer skills; proficient with MS Office software, Google Suite, Canva, social media, and email marketing platforms; experience with communication software. Willingness to learn these programs is a must

·         Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills

·         Strong verbal and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail

·         Comfortable with public speaking – willingness to lead trainings is a positive

·         Proficient in managing business correspondence, files, and records

·         Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Excellent customer service orientation

·         Ability to travel to offsite events

·         Ability to work occasional evenings (4-6 times a year)

The learning team is growing, so there is potential for growth and more responsibilities.

Minimum salary is $24/hr (approx. $49,920/year).
