The basics of this position:
Responsible for organizing and coordinating a variety of tasks and activities related to the seeking and acquisition of local, state, and federal grants, including conducting academic research; guiding faculty, staff, and administrators in theoretical project design and development of grant proposals; developing project budgets; and identifying potential funding sources to support STLCC’s Strategic Initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Researches potential funding sources for grants to support STLCC’s Strategic Initiatives and disseminates information about grant opportunities.
- Researches, analyzes, and compiles data from professional reports, scholarly articles, and other sources in support of grant proposal preparation.
- Coordinates and facilitates internal and external stakeholder planning sessions to identify project design elements that meet the program requirements of funding agencies.
- Develops proposals in collaboration with faculty, staff, and administrators. Creates logic models and work plans and identifies evaluation processes, evidence-based practices, and assessment tools.
- Coordinates development of project budgets with faculty, staff, and administrators and presents proposed budgets to campus or district leadership for review and approval.
- Ensures that grant proposals meet the funding agency requirements for content, use of funds, and alignment with agency goals and objectives.
- Meets or exceeds mandatory agency data requirements and analysis through the creation of maps, charts, graphs, and tables.
- Produces internal reports and other documentation related to the status of the college’s proposals and awarded grants.
- Contributes to the development of grant-funded project orientation materials for faculty, staff, and administrators who serve as project directors, managers, and principal investigators.
- Provides support and technical assistance to faculty, staff, and administrators by creating and conducting workshops, presentations, and other training related to grant acquisition, proposal development, and grant management.
- Participates in grant-related professional development activities.
- Stays current with local, state, and federal educational and workforce trends and monitors funding patterns.
