Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support the financial operations of the organization by maintaining accurate accounting records and performing various administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include preparing journal entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling accounts. You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate with other finance team members in a hybrid work setting (remote and in-office).
Hours: 20 hours per week
Pay Rate: $17–$25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Benefits: 403(b) plan with a 4% employer match. Other benefits are not currently available.

Oasis is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy aging by enriching the lives of older adults through lifelong learning, fitness programs, health education, and volunteer opportunities. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Oasis partners with over 800 organizations across 33 states, offering programs in more than 200 communities. With an annual budget of $5–$8 million, the national office provides administrative support to Oasis Centers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including cash, investments, receivables, and payables.
Analyze and reconcile accounts; prepare journal entries and perform data entry.
Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for the national office and affiliates.
Assist with special accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (experience with Blackbaud’s Financial Edge is a plus).
