Aging Ahead
General Description:
- Oversees all aspects of the agency’s State, Federal, and private contracts, including the area plan and regulatory compliance
- Directs and oversees program planning, development, and evaluation
- Responsible for budgetary and staff oversight
- Acts as Chief Executive Officer in their absence
- Through direct reports, provide oversight of all agency program personnel
- Assist Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors with strategic planning process
- Regularly reviews and provides guidance on budgets for all designated agency programs
- Oversee the research and development of new programs and or funding sources
- Oversees monitoring of all agency direct and contracted services
- Works in an advisory capacity with the fiscal team on preparation of annual contracts
- Oversee implementation of data collection and analysis processes and make recommendations for performance improvement/enhancement
- Develop and support community collaboratives as they relate to the agency’s mission
- Develop, and oversee the issuance and review of all program RFP/RFB’s and provide recommendations for resulting contracts
- Serve as staff liaison to Advisory Council
- Represent the agency to the media, at community events, and in public speaking engagements
- Oversee facilities management
- Oversee and direct the updating of agency disaster manual and agency disaster relief funds
- Present designated program reports to the Board of Directors
- Acts as an advocate for the older adult population within the planning and service area
- Maintains a positive attitude about the agency and upholds the agency’s mission during work-related and non-work-related interactions with the public and other staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business Administration and/or related field from an accredited university plus ten years of experience in a position(s) with increasing responsibility in the areas of supervisory and organizational development or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Business Administration and/or related field from an accredited university plus six years of experience in a position(s) with increasing responsibility in the areas of supervisory and organizational development
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:
- Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrates resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
- Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning
- The ability to assess organizational structures of social service agencies and programs that are designed to assist clients preferred
- Possesses insight into human behavior and good judgment
- Must possess active listening, effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of auditing, compliance procedures, and research methods preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar system
