Learning and Planning Manager

Generate Health builds collective power to advocate for racially equitable policies and practices that center, support and celebrate Black families throughout their pregnancy and parenthood journeys. We make change by organizing networks of community leaders, organizations, and providers, utilizing data, and advocating for policy and systems change. Generate Health seeks to acquire & leverage the abundant resources available in our region to participate in the dismantling of systemic inequity and achieve its vision for the region by 2033.
Position Summary
Generate Health is seeking a strategic and collaborative Manager of Learning and Planning to lead efforts that measure organizational impact, support continuous learning, and promote internal growth and development. This position will play a critical role in evaluating progress toward improving maternal and infant health outcomes especially for Black families and other communities impacted by systemic inequities.
Working closely with the Senior Manager of Network Development and Evaluation, this position will help tell the story of our collective impact to funders, partners, and stakeholders. The Manager of Learning and Planning will also coordinate staff learning initiatives that strengthen team capacity and alignment with our racial equity mission.
Impact Measurement and Planning
Lead the development and implementation of outcome tracking systems to measure organizational progress and community impact.
Design and manage data collection, analysis, and reporting processes that are community-informed and equity-centered.
Translate findings into actionable insights to guide strategic planning, program design, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with leadership to assess progress toward strategic goals and align evaluation efforts with organizational priorities.
Storytelling and Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with the Senior Manager of Communications and Community Engagement to synthesize data and stories that highlight our impact.
Develop clear, compelling materials for funders, partners, and community stakeholders that showcase learning and progress.
Support narrative development that reflects community voice and values, while promoting transparency and accountability.
Organizational Learning and Staff Development
Coordinate learning opportunities and professional development experiences that align with staff needs and organizational goals.
Foster a culture of reflection, curiosity, and adaptive learning across the team.
Identify and curate resources, trainings, and tools that support growth in equity, leadership, and maternal-child health knowledge.

Bachelor’s degree in public health, nonprofit management, social work, education, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
At least 3–5 years of experience in planning, evaluation, organizational learning, or staff development—preferably in the nonprofit or health equity space.
Strong knowledge of equity-based evaluation methods and frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to translate data into compelling narratives and actionable strategies.
Excellent facilitation, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
Passion for racial equity, maternal and infant health, and community-centered approaches.
Salary and Benefits: $62,000 annual salary, 23 days PTO (prorated first calendar year), 10 Holidays (7 of which are floating), and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and flexible spending account. Paid time off also includes two weeks when Generate Health closes the office.
Generate Health is located within Delmar DivINe, a multi-use development of almost 40 nonprofit organizations, residential apartments, and business including a pharmacy, urgent care clinic, credit union, and deli. Working in the Delmar DivINe includes access to a fitness center, professional development, and opportunities for collaboration.
