ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
The Housing Partnership, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lemay, an area in south St. Louis County. We are proud to be designated as a Community Development Housing Organization and a HUD approved housing counseling agency, where most of our clients are low/moderate-income households. Our mission is to create and preserve healthy and affordable homes, support financially stable households, as well as facilitate commercial development in Lemay. Our agency focuses its efforts on three main areas: Homebuyer Services, Home Repair, and Residential Development.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Housing Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall administration of the Homebuyer Services program designed to help clients purchase and maintain their home. They work directly with clients and complete reports as determined by HUD, agency, and program requirements. This position requires a broad array of knowledge in the housing and financial education sectors and involves an ongoing effort to be aware of changing policies that may impact agency programs and sector operations.
Potential programs could include:
- Homebuyer education and counseling
- Down payment and closing cost assistance
- Homeowner counseling for those delinquent on their mortgages
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and process client documents as required for programs, including file maintenance, checklists, quality control, document analysis and approval, and preparing closing documents
- Ensure that electronic and hard copy files are maintained for each client in accordance with HUD and specific program funder’s requirements
- Continuously update notes on client progress in the agency’s client management system (mPact Pro)
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with clients to help them to understand their unique situation related to the process of purchasing or maintaining a home. Covers income and ratio evaluation for potential mortgage loan attainment/modification, credit report review and recommendations, monthly budget development, and additional program requirements.
- Prepare and submit programmatic reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. Ensure reports are submitted in a timely fashion to program funders.
- Attend community events to promote services to potential clients, sometimes held during evenings and weekends
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage lending, real estate, case management, or related field
- Familiarity with housing and financial education sectors
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc)
- HUD Housing Counseling Certification strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment

- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple programs and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a productive team member
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage the big picture and specific goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, lenders, realtors, and others to help clients meet their homeownership goals
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including limited evenings and weekends as necessary

Supervisor: Executive Director
Supervises: Housing Counselor
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary: $50,000-$52,000
Full-time position (40 hours/week)
