Sweet Babies

General Description: Sweet Babies is a 501(c)(3) volunteer driven nonprofit providing tangible support to over 2,000 families a year.  Programs focus on the health and well-being of newborns and infants. The Mother and Baby program provides starter gift bags at birthing hospitals for at-risk and underserved families with newborns. The Safe Sleep program aids families who need safe sleep environment for infants. Sweet Babies also operates outreach programs providing emergency supplies to a children’s hospital, pediatric clinics and individuals who require immediate assistance or monthly supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities: Program management, development and implementation. Manage volunteer staff and each program ensuring adequate supplies are acquired, assembled and available to hospitals, clinics and families weekly. Solicit and track incoming and outgoing donations and partnerships. Establish documentation for all processes. Maintain Sweet Babies safe sleep certification and attend safe sleep certification class(es) as required. Review and develop surveys to ensure need for community is served. Assist in fund development, grant preparation, event planning and recognition to donors. Establish social media communications updating website with educational materials for new parents.

Qualifications: Bachelor or associates degree with 2+ years work experience in the field of health care, social work, public health or related experience. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, program management and interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of social services principles and practices.

Key Competencies: Program management, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, computer skills, and physical ability to multi-task, walk distances, climb stairs and lift 15-35 pounds.

Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Google Docs, Gusto, AI, social media platforms and others as required.

Opportunities: Work directly with Executive Director and dedicated volunteers to advance the Sweet Babies mission by overseeing the planning, implementation, funding, staffing and evaluation of all programs, ensuring positive outcomes for the client community. Potential for advancement to Executive Director.
