Job Title: Development and Donor Relations Manager

FLSA: Exempt

Status: Full-time

Reports To: Director of Development

Job Purpose: To support the Development Department, including focusing on donor events that help the Museum achieve fundraising and budget goals.

Time Allocation: Monday-Friday, occasional evenings and weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Serve as the liaison to the Museum’s fundraising committees, managing meetings, communication, and building relationships;

· Plan and executes all fundraising events; manages all event details and follow-up, assists and coordinates sponsorship and auction item solicitation, and communicates details with staff, Board and committees;

· Work with the Director of Development on the cultivation of donors; help to identify additional recognition and engagement opportunities for donors; and plan cultivation events throughout the year;

· Oversee donor relations activities, including special mailings and gift deliveries;

· Support overall development efforts;

· Participate in trainings as required by the organization;

· Perform other duties as assigned;

 

Qualifications

· Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field;

· Three to five years of experience working in a development department or nonprofit organization;

· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

· Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills;

· Strong work ethic;

· Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as independently;

· Ability to multi-task with a high level of output, detail, and accuracy;

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred or other CRM software;
