Location: Springfield, MO  | Full-Time | Schedule: Hybrid, with minimum 3 days in office

KVC Missouri is on the lookout for a dynamic Fundraising Director to join our passionate team in Springfield!

What You’ll Do:

The position plans and oversees all fundraising activities including individual, corporate, foundation and organization giving. The position directs fundraising initiatives to meet the annual and capital goals for the agency and supervises the regional coordinator position. The Regional Director of Development will establish and foster collaborative working relationships with the Foundation team, the KVC Missouri team members, Regional Council members, volunteers, and others, as appropriate, to achieve fundraising objectives. Position will develop strategic regional initiatives to secure gifts via personal solicitation, grants, special events and other vehicles.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leads regional advancement efforts in coordination with Regional Council, volunteers, staff and community constituents
  • Develops and executes strategic fundraising initiatives to meet regional goals for private support
  • Identifies and solicits major gift prospects and event sponsors
  • Develop dynamic volunteer committee and community relationships
  • Oversees regional development activities including special events, community relations, holiday and back to school drives, and other related activities
  • Responsible for regional operations including recruitment, training and supervision of Foundation Coordinator and volunteers
  • Establish strong relationships with Regional Council, community volunteers, regional civic and government leaders to ensure strong regional advocacy and fundraising success
  • Adheres to the professional, fundraising ethics of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)
  • This position requires occasional travel.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three (3) years’ experience in non-profit development with track record of fundraising success, including major gift fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated record of successful annual and capital fundraising.
  • The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with donors, staff, and volunteers.
  • An understanding of regional civic and business communities
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
  • Must possess the ability to initiate, organize, and follow through with fundraising strategies.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and exercise excellent judgment.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and related software packages; donor database experience

Other Requirements:

Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and insurance
