American Red Cross
The Regional Director of Communications serves as a key leader and storyteller for the American Red Cross in the Missouri-Arkansas Region — shaping strategy, amplifying impact, and inspiring action across one of the nation’s most active humanitarian regions. Based in St. Louis, this role drives the communications and marketing functions that advance regional business objectives, elevate public understanding of the American Red Cross mission, and strengthen volunteer engagement and revenue generation.
In partnership with the Regional CEO and Division Communications Director, you’ll develop and execute bold, creative strategies that connect people to purpose, telling stories that move hearts and minds while ensuring communities know how to access vital Red Cross services. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across every line of service including: Field Marketing, Fundraising, Disaster Cycle Services, Service to the Armed Forces, Blood Services, Training Services, and Volunteer Services and chapter operations to ensure a unified, powerful regional voice.
You’ll lead and mentor both staff and volunteers, building a communications team that shines in times of calm and crisis alike. From guiding media strategy to shaping internal culture, you’ll help define how the Red Cross shows up for our team, our partners, and the communities we serve daily.
This is more than a communications role. It’s an opportunity to lead with purpose, inspire connection, and tell the stories of humanity, hope, and resilience that define the American Red Cross every day.
