Job Summary

The Quality Education Specialist (QES) will deliver comprehensive training to all new and existing staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear, effective, high-quality training to new hires and existing team members.
  • Instruct First Aid, CPR, De-escalation, food textures, and all other Emmaus training courses.
  • Facilitate training in a way that supports different learning styles.
  • Assess the employees’ retention of the training material, readiness for certification, and provide individual support, coaching and feedback.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to share best practices, network, and solicit input on how to improve the effectiveness of training.
  • Participate in committees or workgroups as needed for companywide initiatives or special projects.
  • Gain and maintain subject matter expertise in E-learning.
  • Regularly use a Learning Management System for developing or searching modules, running reports, and monitoring and reporting progress.
  • Instruct external participants in First Aid, CPR and Mandt in the Learning Lab.

Job Requirements/Desired Education and/or Experience

  • HS diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or healthcare preferred.
  • Prior training/facilitation experience preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities required, 2 years preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of accreditation standards is preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing education curriculum is preferred.
  • Intermediate skills using, Microsoft Office 365 products, Relias LMS, QuickMar/electronic medication administration system, THERAP/electronic client record system, and time and attendance system preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to acquire and maintain instructor certification for Mandt System, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid, Tools of Choice training as well as certifications deemed necessary through regulatory agencies or best practices required.
  • Must be open to working primarily days, a few evenings every month and a couple of Saturdays a year.
