Key Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is responsible for the organization’s full cycle accounting operations, including oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, grants management, and compliance with GAAP and federal funding regulations.
- Supervise daily operations of the Accounting department, ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance, cash management, account reconciliations, and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare accurate, timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders; present financial data and insights to Chief Financial Officer, senior leadership and Board committees as needed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and CPA preferred.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
