Job Title: Community Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO
Reports To: Director of Strategic Engagement & Initiatives
Travel: Negligible/ <5% of time
Status: Full-time, exempt employee; In-Person
Compensation: $55K – $68K, annual salary range with full benefits
Role Overview:
The Community Manager at Arch Grants plays a pivotal role in managing daily office and space operations, ensuring smooth administrative workflows, leading high-impact events, and serving as a collaborative partner to internal teams and the Arch Grants founder community. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Arch Grants office, manage office systems and space needs, coordinate vendors and supplies, execute events, and support both internal teams and our community of entrepreneurs. A key responsibility of this role is placemaking: creating a space that feels dynamic, welcoming, and energizing, where founders genuinely want to work, connect, and spend time. As a cross-functional operator, this role blends office administration, space management, hospitality, logistics, relationship management, and program support to ensure an exceptional experience for all who engage with Arch Grants.
Key Responsibilities
Space & Facilities Management
– Serve as the primary point of contact for all space-related needs, ensuring the environment is professional, welcoming, and collaborative.
– Manage meeting and event space bookings across both floors for founders, staff, and partners.
– Maintain booking platform, signage systems, access protocols, and daily functionality.
– Coordinate with vendors for cleaning, A/V, catering, and other space needs.
– Oversee implementation and upkeep of technology infrastructure (e.g., A/V systems, digital signage, booking platforms, and phones).
– Maintain systems for signage, setup, access, and daily functionality.
– Ensure the office is tidy and fully stocked each day, including making coffee and managing supplies.
– Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for space and facilities management.
Event Planning & Execution
– Lead logistics and execution for internal events such as workshops, meetings, etc.
– Partner with team leads to align event goals across Programs, Portfolio, and Development.
– Coordinate communications efforts in partnership with the Communications team.
Office and Administrative Support
– Manage team calendar and schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
– Monitor and triage general inbox communications, forwarding or responding as needed.
– Provide support for meetings and events, including ordering meals or supplies and assisting with meeting materials.
– Maintain and update internal SOPs for administrative workflows.
Organizational & Strategic Support
– Assist the Leadership Team in executing cross-functional projects and timelines.
– Help manage logistics for major events including Pitch Day, neXus Gala and Pitch Day.
– Support planning and coordination of Board and committee meetings.
Qualifications:
1–2 years of relevant experience in event management or community operations
Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
Passion for entrepreneurship, startups, and economic development
Self-motivated, growth-minded, and quick to take initiative
Team-oriented with a positive, energetic presence

Occasional evening/weekend availability for events
Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs (e.g., room setup, event supplies)
