The Director of Programs plays a central role in ensuring the quality, impact, and growth of Memory Care Home Solutions’ programs. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position provides leadership across program delivery, team development, and continuous improvement by ensuring our services are delivered with consistency, compassion, and measurable results. In this role, you’ll oversee program operations from strategy through execution, supporting and developing program staff while maintaining high standards of quality control and evaluation. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to plan, implement, and assess program activities, with a particular focus on research and evaluation, grant and report writing, and the development of publications and program materials that reflect our evidence-based approach. The Director of Programs also serves as a key connector—coordinating outreach related to program services, supporting organizational communications efforts, and representing MCHS in meetings and collaborative spaces. Through building and maintaining strong community and strategic partnerships, this role helps expand the reach and effectiveness of our programs while advancing the organization’s mission. This position is ideal for a collaborative, mission-driven leader who balances programmatic expertise with strong people management skills.
Key Performance Objectives and Responsibilities
Program Operations and Management
Develop and manage direct client service and outreach programs.
Serve as organization’s Privacy Officer and maintain regulatory compliance for client services.
Recruit, hire and plan orientation of program staff members.
Supervise and provide training, mentoring & leadership to program staff.
Participate in long- and short-term program development and strategic planning.
Serve as liaison for Board of Directors Outreach and Diversity Committee.
Develop and effectively manage program timelines to ensure timely completion of program deliverables.
Monitor program activities to ensure quality and excellence of program services.
Implement written and online tools for programmatic use including survey and evaluation tools.
Identify technological tools to enhance and support MCHS capacity and programs.
Utilize the program dashboard to establish consistent, objectives program performance standards of accountability.
Implement a system to evaluate and cultivate the skill, experience and professional development needs of program staff.
Work with ED and finance team to responsibly manage a program budget that meets organizational, and client needs.
Identify & oversee opportunities for volunteer participation in programming work.
Manage grant-funded program service delivery.

Partnerships and Outreach
Establish linkages (through joint programming, cross referrals, hosting events, etc) with key stakeholders (healthcare systems, business, agencies, and individuals) and maintain partnerships.
Increase MCHS visibility/ revenue through partnership building, increase in referrals, and contractual third-party reimbursement development.
Maintain active membership of and participate on boards and community organizational committees.
Assist with marketing activities.
Disseminate the work and findings of MCHS through high-profile publications and presentations.

Program Outcomes
Evaluate and monitor trends and outcomes for current PY compared to prior years.
Monitor attrition rates and possible causes.
Coordinate with Wash U as needed for quality data review.

Inform ED and grant writer of possible funding opportunities.
Coordinate data as needed for funding purposes.
Work with grants department on development of proposals, applications, and reporting.
Consult with ED and grant writer on deliverables and program stats.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy (or related field) or five years direct geriatric field experience with emphasis in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia and family-centered care.
Minimum of 5 years of geriatric experience, at least 2 of those in a team management role.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting reflecting insight into how health systems function.
Experience routinely collecting and analyzing data (benchmarks, indicators, and outcomes).
If the employee has a professional license (i.e. LMSW, LCSW) this license must be maintained for the duration of employment.
Provide proof of and at all times maintain CPR Certification.
Able to lift thirty (30) pounds.
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products e.g. Outlook, Excel, and Access.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success with program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Advanced continuing education in the area of geriatrics.
Experience with statistical data analysis.
Experience working on grant/third-party funded projects, research, or studies.
