About Humanitri

Humanitri is a Christ-centered nonprofit serving families experiencing housing instability in St. Louis. Through safe, scattered-site housing and a two-generational, trauma-informed model (HOPE for parents and TAG for children), we equip families to achieve long-term stability and break cycles of crisis. We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and relational leader to serve as our next Executive Director.

Position Overview

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of Humanitri and is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission, ensuring financial sustainability, leading staff, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting an engaged Board of Directors. This leader will guide Humanitri into its next season of growth with clarity, courage, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead implementation of the organization’s strategic plan.
    Align programs and partnerships with Humanitri’s two-generational model.
  • Identify opportunities for responsible growth, including housing expansion strategies.

Financial Stewardship

  • Oversee annual budget and financial reporting.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage oversight of owned and leased housing properties.

Fund Development

  • Lead diversified revenue strategy including individual donors, foundations, congregations, corporate partners, and United Way.
  • Cultivate and steward major donor relationships.
  • Oversee grant development and reporting.

Staff Leadership

  • Hire, supervise, and develop staff.
    Foster a healthy, mission-driven culture mindful of compassion fatigue.
  • Ensure strong operational systems and policies.

Board & Community Engagement

  • Partner closely with the Board of Directors.
  • Serve as Humanitri’s primary ambassador in faith and civic communities.
  • Build strategic partnerships that support family stabilization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit, housing, or human services.
  • Demonstrated fundraising and revenue diversification success.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing organizational budgets.
  • Experience leading teams in mission-driven environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to Humanitri’s Christ-centered mission is essential.
