Concordance’s reentry program is designed to dramatically reduce recidivism by helping individuals with justice involvement lead meaningful, abundant, and joyful lives. Our holistic, evidence-based model offers a wide range of services – therapy, case management, yoga, behavioral health and substance use recovery groups, spiritual care, life skills, medical care, education, and job readiness. Each participant is formally supported by our Care Team for a full year, ensuring stability and long-term success. Now operating in Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia, Concordance is a national leader in compassionate, innovative reentry care.
Position Overview:
As an accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and finances of Concordance. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the assets of the firm as we scale our operations across the nation.
Key Responsibilities – Your role will involve:
Accounting and Financial Support
- Oversee daily accounting and financial operational functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and complete general ledger records.
- Process all incoming and outgoing payments.
- Manage biweekly payroll processing.
- Manage employee expense reimbursements and ensure all requests comply with established approval processes.
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements for leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Partner with the Development department to manage pledge payments, support grant applications, and produce accurate financial reporting.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
- Partner with the AVP of Finance & Business Operations, AR/AP Specialist, and the Facilities team to create and manage the annual organizational budget
- Work closely with the AR/AP Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations.
- Provide senior leadership with timely and insightful updates on the organization’s financial status, trends, and progress toward goals.
- Manage the external audit process.
- Oversee all required regulatory reporting.

- Strong financial and accounting acumen, including understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and nonprofit financial management
- Skill in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and using data to drive decision-making
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Skills and Competencies:
- 5-7+ years of experience in related finance or accounting roles
Demonstrates proficiency in QuickBooks and banking platform systems
