Position Description: The Development Coordinator collaborates closely with the Nine PBS Impact team to help secure essential support for the organization’s core initiatives that drive meaningful community impact. This experienced, action-oriented professional plays a key role in advancing Nine PBS’s development efforts by researching new funding opportunities, tracking and documenting donor engagement, managing donor and funder recognition, supporting the maintenance of FCC files, and drafting impact reports.

Primary Responsibilities: The following primary responsibilities are vital to successfully meeting the expectations of this position in an effective and efficient manner. This is not an exhaustive list and areas of focus may fluctuate between the primary and secondary responsibilities, as needed.

·         Conduct research to identify and evaluate prospective corporate, foundation, and individual donors.

·         Maintain and update the donor database, including recording contributions, generating acknowledgment letters, and tracking engagement strategies.

·         Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the CRM system by keeping all donor information current and well-organized.

·         Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, including drafting and preparing email and written communications.

·         Generate reports on historical and current giving trends to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.

·         Maintain FCC files to ensure accurate and compliant funder recognition.

·         Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure appropriate donor recognition across content and organizational materials.

·         Develop compelling language that highlights the quality and impact of the organization’s work for use in reports and donor communications.

·         Apply knowledge of the funding landscape to identify and pursue potential funding opportunities at the local, regional, and national levels.

·         Prepare materials for meetings with funders and individual donors.

·         Manage and track event registration for institutional giving donors.

Secondary Responsibilities: These are additional activities that are expected to be performed with this position.

·         Maintain professional flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing processes, program information, and priorities.

·         Keep leadership informed on critical issues impacting areas of responsibility in a timely manner.

·         Communicate the mission of Nine PBS to staff, volunteers, and the community to connect current and prospective donors with mission outcomes.

·         Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective funding pipeline.

Qualifications: Preferred 2-year degree/certificate, with 3-5 years of experience in field of communications, marketing, project management, or related field. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce and other MS Office applications.

Hybrid Schedule: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, typically working 2-3 days in the office each week. On-site work is expected for all staff meetings, biweekly team meetings, retreats, and weekly funding meetings.
