Saint Louis Ballet Company

Saint Louis Ballet Company seeks a part-time Grant Writer to oversee and manage the grant application process.  This includes tracking deadlines; coordinating proposal preparation, submission and follow up; and composing compelling narratives and reports.  Candidate should also have the ability to research and identify new funding sources. Grant Writer works both independently and collaboratively with SLB staff to develop proposals.  Expected workload is between 10-12 applications annually, with additional proposals as identified through prospect research.

– Excellent organizational and tracking ability
– Adherence to deadlines
– Ability to write compelling narratives
– Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
– Excellent proofreading skills
– Commitment to discretion
– Proficiency in Excel, Word and Google docs
– Prospect research skills
– Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four years’ experience writing successful grant applications

Work will be primarily remote, with periodic meetings at Saint Louis Ballet Studios in Chesterfield. Hours will vary according to the grants schedule.

Saint Louis Ballet Company (SLBC) is the only resident, professional ballet company in the metropolitan St. Louis region. We employ 21 professional dancers; produce four mainstage productions at the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the UMSL campus and one program of contemporary dance at the Grandel Theatre.
