Summary

The Membership Manager oversees development and execution of strategies and campaigns for membership recruitment, dues and retention.  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is integral to the development and implementation of programs and services to meet the needs of NWFA’s diverse membership.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a customized membership and development strategy plan that supports recruitment of new members, retention of existing members, and increase in membership dues revenue
  • Develop prospects and campaigns targeting specific membership segments
  • Work with marketing department to develop marketing plans for membership, including budget, growth and sales goals
  • Develop specific campaigns to create and maintain high levels of member interaction
  • Manage membership database
  • Oversee and support member database system
  • Develop, execute and present annual member survey, and for specific projects as needed
  • Research and implement programs to generate non-dues revenue
  • Review affinity programs to determine relevance and implement enhancements
  • Evaluate call reports and feedback to anticipate issues and develop resolution strategies
  • Track membership trends and devise strategies based on findings
  • Research and implement print-on-demand membership services
  • Review and update new member kit annually to provide increased value proposition
  • Plan membership recruitment blitzes
  • Evaluate call reports and feedback to anticipate issues and develop resolution strategies
  • Supervise membership department
  • Develop and manage budget and resources
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required

  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to become an industry expert
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable years of experience required
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications
