Blackburn College

Blackburn College, a unique four-year liberal arts college with a student-managed work program located in Carlinville, IL, seeks applications for the position of Development Officer.  The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, and will be responsible for the direct cultivation and solicitation of a defined group (regional and national) of donors and donor prospects for gifts in support of capital, annual and other college programs.

BA/BS degree; excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills; strong time management skills; and ability/willingness to travel (nationally) at least 50% of the time is required.  Demonstrated development or transferrable experience with preference for experience in a higher education setting and familiarity with RE NXT preferred.  The successful candidate will be familiar with, and enthusiastic about Blackburn College’s unique work program model of higher education.
