FIRST in Missouri is seeking a strategic and donor-focused Development Director to support our fundraising goals. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience who’s passionate about building relationships and telling compelling stories to inspire giving for helping students build skills, confidence, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a portfolio of donors and prospects
• Write grant proposals and reports for foundation and corporate funders
• Create annual campaigns, appeals, and digital fundraising efforts
• Analyze donor data and build data-informed fundraising strategies
• Collaborate with staff on donor messaging and materials

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development
• Demonstrated success in donor cultivation and grant writing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with donor CRMs and fundraising software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
