Position Summary

The Development and Marketing Coordinator actively participates in the organization’s fundraising and marketing activities and programs. This role includes coordinating and implementing development activities, managing donor relations, and executing marketing strategies to increase the organization’s visibility and engagement with the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the nonprofit sector and the organization’s mission, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Development

Donor and Record Management:

  • Process transactions.
  • Acknowledge and thank donors.
  • Maintain and update the donor database.
  • Generate donor reports.

Fundraising:

  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns.
  • Prepare and distribute fundraising materials, including direct mail, email campaigns, and online appeals.
  • Monitor fundraising revenue and generate revenue reports.

Events:

  • Support planning and execution of agency and third-party events.
  • Coordinate event logistics and provide on-site support.

Grants:

  • Track and report on grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes.
  • Support the writing, editing, and submission of grant proposals.

Marketing

Digital Marketing:

  • Support the planning and execution of short-range and long-range social media strategies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on website traffic and social media metrics.
  • Implement SEO strategies to improve online visibility.

Online Content:

  • Coordinate and create content for social media, newsletters, blogs, websites, and other marketing materials.
  • Manage social media accounts and online engagement.

Required Qualifications

At least two years of experience in fundraising, data management, marketing, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor management software.

Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Graphic design skills and experience with design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).

Knowledge of SEO and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).

You’ll join a highly collaborative team who is dedicated to supporting one another, our CASA volunteers and the children we serve with offices located in the St. Louis County Courts and City of St. Louis Juvenile Courts buildings.

Annual Salary: $48,000 – $53,000, based upon experience, with annual salary reviews.

This job is a full-time position, 8:30 – 4:30, Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend events. We support remote office work but require two – three days/week of in-office work. The position offers full health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), a simple IRA with a 2% employer contribution, plus up to 20 Days PTO/year, 13 paid holidays, 80 hours paid Sick Time, and cell phone allowance ($40/month).
