We have an opportunity for an Associate Director to join the Philanthropy team at our St. Louis hospital.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Director of Philanthropy at Shriners Children’s St. Louis. The Associate Director will be responsible for identifying and cultivating prospective and existing donors from communities within the hospital service territory to solicit upper level, major and planned gifts. The Associate Director nurtures individual, foundation and corporate relationships through regular contact, communication, and recognition, and develops and maintains relationships with hospital-affiliated Shriners Temples for the purpose of fundraising. Primary responsibilities include major gifts, planned giving, third party and event giving, and donor communication and stewardship. The role is located in Greater St. Louis with a willingness to travel in the surrounding states including some evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

-3-5 years of Fundraising Experience Required
-2 years of Major Giving Program Experience Required
-A demonstrable track record of fundraising accomplishments and goals achieved is essential
-Must have experience closing gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations
-Healthcare fundraising experience helpful
-Experience with Blackbaud or other CRM systems preferred
-Planned giving program experience preferred
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to build and maintain relationships
-Strong organizational and project management skills
-Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s degree is a plus
