Independence Center (IC) is an internationally recognized, community-based behavioral health organization for adults in St Louis living with a mental illness. This role is with the integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders (ITCD) team as a dedicated specialist working with clients who have both substance use disorders and other mental health diagnoses. In this role, you’ll be part of a dynamic, supportive team that values collaboration through regular multi-disciplinary meetings to provide coordinated care. You’ll receive training in Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and other evidenced based modalities to provide the most effective care. You’ll be trained in the integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders (ITCD) model, equipping you with the protocols needed to provide integrated care and documentation.

Masters Degree Required
LCSW OR LPC Required
2 years of experience working with clients that suffer from Substance Use Disorders
Shift information: 8 AM-4 PM Monday – Friday
Clients: People with severe mental illness and a substance use disorder
Location:  Onsite at the Independence Center AND community based – working in the communities with clients
Job responsibilities: Annual assessments, ITCD documentation including assessment for alcohol and drug use and response to treatment

Role Purpose

Responsible for providing ongoing treatment to persons identified with Co-Occurring Disorders. Maintain fidelity standards for Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment program.

Responsibilities

Plans and conducts Individual Sessions, Group Education and Group Counseling in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards.
Completes Co-Occurring Evaluations in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards.
Reviews, signs and contributes to co-occurring people’s treatment plan.
Maintain and monitor fidelity to the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment program.
