Job Title: Special Events Coordinator
FLSA: Exempt
Status: Full-time
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Job Purpose: To support the Museum’s marketing and special events
Time Allocation: Monday – Friday, occasional evenings and weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for the planning, marketing, and executing special events;
· Lead the planning, marketing, and execution of special events, both paid and free-with-admission, hosted at The Magic House and MADE for Kids;
· Distribute Museum brochures and marketing materials to key partners as needed;
· Oversee the facility rental program, including providing facility tours, issuing contracts, designing event layouts and coordinating with Museum Managers;
· Evaluate event success using key performance indicators and feedback, and provide recommendations for improvements for future events;
· Work with design department to create marketing materials for events;
· Create and manage event registrations for all special events using the Museum’s CRM software;
· Assist the Membership, Development, and Education Departments by supporting their events;
· Answer phones and handle reservations for special events, ensuring excellent customer service and support;
· Manage the special events budget;
· Contribute to overall marketing efforts, ensuring that special events are integrated into the broader marketing strategy;
· Participate in trainings as required by the organization;
· Perform other duties as assigned;
Qualifications
· Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications or a related field;
· At least one year of experience in planning and executing a variety of special events;
· Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills;
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities;
· Proficiency in marketing, CRM software, and event registration systems;
· Budget management experience;
· Familiarity with industry trends and best practices;
· Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills;
· Valid Missouri or Illinois driver’s license is required;
