Job Summary:
The Data and Reporting Analyst reports to the Director, CRM and supports all areas of Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) in the design and strategic use of data within Salesforce and other integrated platforms. This role is responsible for analyzing large, complex data sets, producing timely reports and dashboards, and gathering KPI metrics from diverse sources to support data-informed decision-making.
The Data and Reporting Analyst will perform his/her duties consistent with the LHM’s strategic plans, policies and other guidelines, and with applicable laws.
Major Responsibilities:
- Executes high-volume weekly production of tax receipts and product fulfillment, and generates monthly and ad hoc mailing and email lists for targeted outreach while ensuring our donor’s communication preferences are honored.
- Gathers and compiles monthly KPI data from various sources.
- Analyzes existing data sets to identify trends and develops new Salesforce reports and dashboards that help the organization make informed business decisions.
- Searches for opportunities to automate manual processes and improve CRM-related workflows and helps to implement improvements.
- Ensures accuracy by identifying and helping to fix incomplete, duplicated or incorrect data.
- Manages the accurate transfer and synchronization of data into Salesforce from various sources.
- Facilitates secure data exchanges with vendors, consultants, and third parties.
- Researches and tests new Salesforce releases and third-party products.
- Works cross-organizationally to translate business needs into technical requirements, providing excellent customer service to all internal partners.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- 3 or more years of Salesforce experience.
- 3 or more years of experience creating data-driven reports and dashboards
- Ability to identify business challenges and a proactive desire to automate manual tasks to improve data collection.
- Strong Excel skills and experience manipulating large, complex data sets, including proficiency in testing and troubleshooting software.
- Ability to organize significant amounts of information with precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements through active partnership.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively to meet recurring daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with products like Salesforce Non-Profit Success Pack, GoFundMePro, Own, Apsona, Zapier, Marketing Cloud, Sprout Social, Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with AI-driven data analysis tools and generative AI platforms to enhance reporting efficiency and provide predictive insights while protecting donor data.
- Experience creating and implementing advanced visualizations using products like Tableau or Power BI.
Location: Remote, but incumbent must be willing to travel to St. Louis 2-4 times per year.
