About St. Louis Area Diaper Bank
Diaper need is one of the most overlooked forms of poverty in America, and St. Louis Area Diaper Bank closes that gap for families across the region. Through a network of partner agencies spanning seven counties in the greater St. Louis area, the organization distributes diapers and period supplies to families who need them most, reaching 80,000 families each year. In St. Louis, half of all families cannot afford enough diapers, and the Diaper Bank exists to meet that need.

In 2025, the organization distributed more than 3.3 million diapers and over 880,000 period supplies, working alongside 74 partner organizations throughout the region. Behind that impact is a small, mighty, and deeply committed staff team, supported by one of the strongest volunteer bases in the St. Louis nonprofit community. The organization has also become a respected voice for policy change, helping to successfully lobby for the removal of Missouri’s sales tax on diapers and period products and founding a coalition that has expanded diaper access across the state.

The Diaper Bank enters this search with real momentum, clear priorities, and ambitious growth goals: 5 million diapers and 1.5 million period supplies distributed each year. Reaching those goals will take a leader who can build on a strong foundation of trust and passion and use it to launch the organization’s next era.

The Opportunity
This is a builder’s role for a leader who wants to make a visible, measurable difference in the lives of local families. The incoming Executive Director will inherit a stable, well-run organization with strong programs, a loyal donor and volunteer community, and a staff ready to rally behind a bold new vision.

From there, the runway is wide open: diversifying and modernizing fundraising, expanding the organization’s space and infrastructure to support continued growth, and exploring new programming that meets emerging needs in the community.

Who We Need
As Executive Director, you will set the vision, energy, and pace for the organization, driving results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a confident, hands-on leader who is as comfortable on the warehouse floor as in the boardroom, turning strategy into action across programs, fundraising, and operations while overseeing the organization’s financial health, systems, and logistics.

You are a persuasive and poised communicator and fundraiser, energized by building relationships and comfortable asking for support to grow the revenue base. You lead with transparency and put people first, building trust with staff, empowering a talented team, and creating a culture of collaboration and shared purpose. And you are a visible community advocate, representing the organization across the region and state while serving as an adaptable partner to an engaged Board of Directors as the organization enters its next stage of growth.

Prior Executive Director or nonprofit experience is welcomed but not required. St. Louis Area Diaper Bank is looking first for a leader with the drive, communication skills, and heart to grow something that matters.
