Catholic Charities of St. Louis

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a visionary and mission-driven Executive Director of Service-Learning Integration to launch and lead the newly established Center for Service Learning. This role will architect and operationalize a transformative Service-Learning framework that integrates Catholic Social Teaching with educational and parish-based service across the Archdiocese.

Strategic Leadership:
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of the Faith in Action Curriculum, integrating Catholic Social Teaching with service and reflection in partnership with school theology departments
• Build and scale the Service Pathways model across high schools, ensuring age-appropriate progression from awareness to action to leadership and capstone experiences.
• Establish and grow the Annual Service-Learning Summit, Volunteer Corps, and cross-sector partnerships with Catholic universities and corporate sponsors.
Parish and School Integration:
• Coordinate with pastors, parish leaders, and Catholic Charities’ Vicariate Navigators to implement an Integrated Parish Day of Service in every parish across the Archdiocese.
• Support the identification and development of parish-specific service projects, ensuring they align with local community needs and Catholic Charities’ service offerings.
• Facilitate long-term parish engagement by helping parishes transition from a one-day model to ongoing service initiatives supported by Catholic Charities.
Partnership and Program Management:
• Build formal partnerships with:
o Catholic high schools and grade schools
o The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Archdiocesan Council
o Catholic universities and local businesses
o Catholic Charities Service Guilds/Clubs
o Catholic Charities’ Volunteer Coordinator and ministries
• Develop clear frameworks, training resources, and toolkits to consistently implement service-learning objectives across all sites.
• Manage program data, outcomes, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors and funders.
• Ensure all service-learning experiences are grounded in reflection, spiritual formation, and vocational discernment.

Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and commitment to the mission of Catholic Charities.
• Master’s degree in Theology, Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in education, service learning, or ministry settings.
• Demonstrated experience in cross-sector partnership development and program scaling.
• Experience working in or with Catholic grade and high schools, universities, or parish structures.
• Background in youth ministry, volunteer management, or educational curriculum development.
