Key Skills and Job Requirements

1. The Director of Regional Learning has a proficiency in sales techniques to support the implementation of CFCC programming. The leader is responsible for implementing a cohesive business development strategy to identify and advance new opportunities to drive growth, sustainability, and impact. This role will lead a designated regional learning hub, continuously working to develop new opportunities and maintain a catalog of current relationships. (90%)

  • Acquire strategic new relationships in surrounding communities with the goal of working toward long-term partnerships.
  • Build on-going relationships with key community connectors to build awareness of CFCC programs.
  • Establish processes in Raiser’s Edge to track, measure, and analyze results and outcomes, and evaluate relationship value. Skillfully manage and cultivate a robust pipeline of relationships.
  • Coach, develop, and support programs within a designated region and within sector-based partnerships.
  • Recruit, assign, and support CFCC facilitators within their span of care.
  • Manage the region’s programming budget, providing financial stewardship of resources.
  • Set an annual pace of events and class schedules for designated area. Schedule and recruit for community-based classes in the assigned region.
  • Lead local alumni sustainment initiatives.
  • Provide highly visible, transparent, and accessible leadership that helps shape and communicate CFCC’s culture to attract the right partners, provide individual coaching, leadership, and guidance in support of the movement.
  • Develop a plan to allow the community multiple access points into the CFCC content.

2. Support the strategic plan to advance goals, mission, and vision. Collaborate with the Senior Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement to translate goals into short and long-term initiatives. (5%)

  • As part of a team, contribute to the national communication and programming presence in areas such as social media posts, hosting online learning and engagement opportunities, and contributing to national dialogue.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement, the Director of Regional Learning works collaboratively with the other Directors of Regional Learning and will interface with multiple team members across the nation on a regular basis.

Travel
80% of travel is local during traditional business hours. Out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected up to 20% of the time. Overall, we believe and trust that you will exercise wisdom and discernment to travel as needed to fulfill job goals and responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a relaxed, we-centric environment with occasional forays into more traditional professional settings and has a significant virtual component. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers (laptop and/or desktop), phones, voicemail systems, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scanners, and fax machines.

Physical Demands
Minimal to light physical effort is generally required in performing duties in an office environment. This position requires the ability to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment at efficient speed. Physical stamina sufficient to sustain light physical labor and ability to remain in stationary position for up to 8 hours.

Mental acuity to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions. Manual dexterity sufficient to write, use the telephone, computer, calculator, and office machines at required speed and accuracy. Ability to identify and interpret communications in handwritten and printed materials, and on the display screen of various office equipment. Ability to meet with employees and community members at sites and other off-site meetings. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Education and Experience

1. Proven examples of we-centric leadership, organizational and/or program development, and fund development capability.

2. Demonstrated continuous improvement experience. Proven ability to make mistakes, learn from them, and improve.

3. Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field; or combination of relevant education and experience.

4. 5-10 years of experience in partnership development.

5. 2-5 years of experience leading multiple sites and locations.

6. Certified in Communication Skills Training, Listen Like a Leader, or Our Community Listens facilitator preferred.

7. Proven track record recruiting and supporting partners.

8. Proven financial abilities including fundraising, budget development and execution.

9. Superb written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and implement new program concepts.

10. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, data-based decision making, online meeting and design platforms.

11. Experience managing relationships in Raiser’s Edge software.

12. Manages ambiguity, creating structure where needed for organizational movement. Action-oriented, flexible, adaptable.
